What the heck is a Tweetup?!?

Tweetup? Is that some kind of disease??

Lately I have been asked by a number of people as to what exactly a Tweetup is and whether or not it is something they should be attending. Well, it's time for you to be in the know!

A Tweetup is doterati's version of a networking "meetup" where you can socialize with fellow local professionals in a fun environment. You don't have to Twitter (www.twitter.com) to come and hang with us! The idea of a Tweetup is just our nod to rising social media ingenuity - plus we promote all of our Tweetups on Twitter via doterati's updates: http://twitter.com/doterati. Check it out if you want just another way to connect with doterati.

But, don't let the social media ties fool you! doterati Tweetups bring out all kinds of professionals - from marketers to designers to educators and even technology enthusiasts. It's a no-strings attached event where you can mix and mingle with other local professionals - and maybe make a connection! What would an organization be without interaction and connection live, in person, face-to-face. And that is what a Tweetup provides.

You don't have to be an official member to come (though we certainly want you to join our "click"), but if you are on the fence about joining doterati or want to know more, this is the place to be.

So, you can Tweet and you can Meet, but no matter what you call it, we want you there.
