doterati evolution • week 2 [5.11.08 - 5.17.08]

Week 2 was awesome! Check out the highlights below:

501c3, article of incorporation and by-laws in progress. Initial fund raising and year 1 operating budget is also in the works.
Thanks to our new membership team, we had our 100th signup to the online community on Friday (4.16) , Cory Collier!
We also doubled our community membership from the previous Friday - we were up to 120 by sun down.
Many of you have been expressing your interest in volunteering and/or being part of the board - thank you for your active participation! We hope to have our initial board nailed down by mid June, so if you're interested update your profile.
Our web team met for the first time 'formally' to discuss short term and long term goals for Doterati's web presence. Get involved in that discussion. Drop our web chair, Jeremy Hilton, a line if you'd like to be part of the site build out.
The Doterati LinkedIn Group was approved and established as an additional opportunity to spread the word.
The forum categories were expanded to allow for more relevant/specific discussions, including: membership, networking, education, local events, etc. - thanks to our community manager, Mark Krupinski.
A few new groups popped up including: CFL Video and OrlandoBloggers, thanks to Erik Hersman.
