I've been working in various ways to build Florida's digital media industry since serving as Corporate Director of Digital Television for Harris Corporation back at the turn of the millenium...technology/business strategist, consultant & trainer...entrepreneur/conference organizer, EVP at a creative firm, leading a non-profit industry association, and now also an educational initiative...

This year I've taken on the task of helping to start up and build a new industry-driven statewide education and training organization, with an initial $1M in industry contributions and contract funding from Workforce Florida. It brings together Florida's digital media industry with synergistic education, workforce and economic development organizations to advance Florida's digital media talent at the speed of technology.

I serve on a number of boards, including that of FL2i, a web 2.0 initiative of ITFlorida.com that's about to go public beta in October, and quite a few digital media educational program advisory boards.

BTW, Digital Media Alliance Florida hosts gatherings called "The Convergence...A Social Gathering for Florida's Digerati"
