I'm glad this group is small because this a question that I could screw up and have come out the wrong way.

I am promoting a novel I wrote that is "G" rated. Nothing sexy at all. No violence over PG13 for sure. But, because of its military history/sci Fi blend, the target demographic is probably 30 ++ year old males. There is no doubt that this audience responds to a pretty girl. That's hard wired code.

I'm promoting this book with a series of video books reviews (home made.. and they look it, but the price it right) discussing books with a similar audience as mine. The book reviews are on Amazon, YouTube, Veoh, and the major social networking sites. At the end of each video book review, I'd like to get a young lady to say... "You should go to GreatGuyBooks dot com!" or "You Should Read A Glint in Time". Like a 5 second plug.

I have one clip , done for me by a relative, it is at the end of the 2 minute review/promo attached to this posting.

Now, my naive question is this: How do I get more girls to do more of these 5 second promo shots for me? I'm a 60 year old male... do I go up to 20 year old girls on the street with a camera in my hand and say, "Excuse me, can I ask you to do a video?" How long until I'm face down on the hood of the black-and-white?

In my mental wanderings I think about soliciting using Craig's list and paying them $20 thru PayPal or for every video I use, but I still sense potential problems.

Oh, and of course I know nothing about model releases except that they exist. Must be age 18?

So, does anyone have any ideas about how to get some attractive females to do a 5 second promo? I suspect that if I was a 20-something single male, this would be an opportunity and not a problem. But, from my spot in life I perceive it as a problem. Any solutions?

George, isn't that amazing! Actually, since I had the need, I should have INVENTED the service! It's a perfect use of the Internet. Oh well, yet another opportunity missed. Although the talent age verification and licensing would have been a headache.

Thanks so much for the follow through on this query. By the way, I made do by asking friends for favors. Some of the results are a buit amateur, but they are all entertaining. I have one woman who did promos for me in Red Square and I also managed to get Donny Osmand's oldest son to use his famous family's smile. You can see them all at http://www.youtube.com/user/Fderfler (About 35 book review promos are there)

Thanks again for the great tip. How very interesting and useful. -- Frank Derfler, Islamorada/Tampa
