Interactive Marketing & Technology Awards - Central Florida
We had a brief discussion last night at the doterati board meeting about the need for a formal awards show in Central Florida that addresses interactive marketing, media and tech.
I'd love to get some feedback from the community on what you'd like to see, relevancy, frequency and any other thoughts on this topic.

I think it's a great idea! An annual awards event is a great way to highlight and recognize innovative companies in the Central Florida region and it will also help generate ideas for other companies.

Tara, I think a having an Interactive Marketing & Technology Awards program would be great. Some of the categories for the awards could include:
- Search Engine Marketing & Optimization for programs that leveraged SEM to drive brand promotion
- New Media for programs that used social networking, podcasting, blogs, RSS or other new media to build brand engagement and drive consumer behavior
or simplified:
- Collaboration & Social Networking
- Content Management
- Marketing / Customer Relationship Technologies
- Mobile
- Video
and many more for the tech side, that I am not familiar with. As far as frequency, I think once a year to showcase what the particular company or individual has accomplished within that year.

you know one thing that has always driven me crazy, is the fact that you buy your own reward or buy in to be chosen. If there was someway to work around this, then that would be inovative!
